Identify existing skills, knowledge, experience, or assets that could realistically be converted into additional income.
By the end of this upgrade you will have a ranked list of your skills, knowledge, and assets that could realistically generate additional income.
List professional skills, hobbies, certifications, tools you own, and knowledge others regularly ask you for help with — cast a wide net before filtering.
For each skill, note whether people currently pay for it (search job boards, freelance platforms, or marketplaces for evidence).
Rate your skill level 1-5 relative to others who already charge for it — be honest, since underpricing overestimated skill leads to poor client outcomes.
Estimate how many hours per week you could realistically dedicate and whether the skill requires equipment, certification, or capital to monetize.
Multiply or weight the three scores to produce a ranked shortlist of your top 2-3 monetizable skills.
Priority score = demand (1-5) x proficiency (1-5) x feasibility (1-5)
Select the single highest-ranked skill to move into side-income validation rather than trying to pursue multiple ideas at once.
